Sam Stovall is Managing Director of U.S. Equity Strategy at S&P Global Market Intelligence. He serves as analyst, publisher and communicator of S&P’s outlooks for the economy, market, and sectors. Sam is the Chairman of the S&P Investment Policy Committee, where he focuses on market history and valuations, as well as industry momentum strategies. He is the author of The Standard & Poor’s Guide to Sector Investing. In addition, Sam writes a weekly investment piece on S&P Global Market Intelligence’s MarketScope Advisor platform and his work is also found in S&P’s flagship weekly newsletter The Outlook. Sam joined Standard & Poor’s in 1989. Prior to S&P, he served as Editor In Chief at Argus Research, an independent investment research firm in New York City. He holds an MBA in Finance from New York University and a B.A. in History/Education from Muhlenberg College, in Allentown, PA. He is a CFP® certificant and is a Trustee of the Securities Industry Institute®, the executive development program held annually at The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania.

Robert Keiser

Robert Keiser is Vice President of Financial Market Research at S&P Global Market Intelligence. He is responsible for the surveillance and analysis of international economic trends and their bearing on multiasset class relationships. This top down “view” is then balanced against financial market valuation and risk mitigation considerations when evaluating investment opportunities in the global marketplace. Robert’s responsibilities also include the supervision of analysts who produce research and commentary covering global capital market activity, the equity and credit markets, mutual funds, and global corporate fixed income securities.

Robert joined S&P Capital IQ in 2008 after holding various investment strategies and trading positions dealing in the U.S. fixed income, equity, commodity, private equity, and global currency markets on Wall Street. The breadth of Robert’s experience span over twenty years and leaves him well-positioned for investigating relationships between markets by utilizing cutting edge S&P Global Market Intelligence applications. Previously held positions with U.S. primary dealers and international commercial banks include Société Générale, The Long Term Credit Bank of Japan Ltd, and Lloyds Bank Plc.

Robert holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and English from Rutgers College, Rutgers University.

Scott Kessler
Deputy Director of Research and Industry Analyst

Scott Kessler is Deputy Director of Research and Industry Analyst at S&P Global Market Intelligence, Equity Research. In addition to managing a team of industry analysts, he establishes and executes on longer-term strategies and direct day-to-day operations to produce and distribute high-quality and timely research content. He conducts fundamental analysis and valuation assessments within the Internet and Software areas. Scott also oversees and coordinates media and compliance efforts.

Prior to joining the firm, Scott worked as a legislative adviser to the Vice Chairman of the House Telecommunications & Finance subcommittee, handling issues related to technology, media and telecommunications. He also previously worked as a telecommunications attorney, for a law firm in Washington, D.C., representing clients including Time Warner and The Walt Disney Company.

Scott holds a Bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University and a law degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
